My Liverpool Highlights: Walking, Dancing, Learning

My first highlight was the walk in the Lake District. Walking through the forest and along the lake was a welcome change to noisy, crowded and dangerous (cars driving on the wrong side…) Liverpool. A beautiful landscape with green hills, lots of sheep and sweet cottages.

My second highlight was the Cavern Club. A very good atmosphere and great music. Listening to the Beatles (even if only as a cover band) was especially fun when having in mind that a few decades ago my parents danced to the same sound!

My third highlight was the school visit to St. Mary’s Catholic College. The German teachers welcomed us warmly and show us everything: classrooms with all the equipment a teacher could dream of, special arts classes, German classes. It was quite interesting to see how students learn our language and how difficult it is for them.
